Meet Our Board

April Cullum, Chair has been a music therapist for over 15 years and currently works at Corewell Hospice and Palliative Care West Michigan (formerly Spectrum Health). She serves on the Vision and Leadership Board at Aldersgate United Methodist Church (site of our Main Studio) and is President of Michigan Music Therapists. April's two children have participated in Aldersgate UMC's Jr. Choir, which is offered in partnership with Allegro School of Music.  Along with her children, she lives in Grand Rapids with her husband Jerry and is a vocalist, guitarist, and saxophonist.

Bill Robbins, Vice Chair is a retired high school science teacher who also has spent his lifetime making music.  He sings bass in the Aldersgate UMC Jubilant Voices and has sung in many barbershop and other vocal groups throughout his life.  In high school he played, you guessed it, the saxophone.  Bill currently lives in Rockford with his wife Doris and has two grown children and four grandchildren.

Linda Myers, Treasurer is an accountant with DeVries + Associates as well as a lifelong musician.  She currently is lead female vocalist with the Aldersgate UMC Praise Team, sings alto in the adult choir (Jubilant Voices), and rings handbells with Allegro Ringers.  In the past she sang in the Alma College Choirs, played saxophone in the Forest Hills Northern Bands, and rang handbells with Campana Handbell Ensemble.  She lives in Kentwood and has been graciously volunteering her financial expertise to Allegro School of Music for many years.

Phil Andre, Trustee currently serves as the Director of Student Success and Lecturer of Integrative Physiology and Health Science at Alma College. Music has long been an important piece in Phil’s life as he grew up playing the viola and enjoyed attending concerts and musicals. Now, Phil has the pleasure of sharing his love for music and the arts with his wife and daughter as together they experience all that West Michigan has to offer.
